Cousin Camp

Shortly after the first couple of grandchildren were born my parents (aka Granna & Poppa) declared that one week out of the summer they were going to host "Cousin Camp". They got the idea from some friends and they thought what a great idea to have all of the grandkids come and stay and just have pure fun (especially since 2 out of the 3 families are out of town). We like to tease them about it because, first of all - it has yet to happen...and secondly, we learn new stipulations just about every time we talk to them about it. It makes for a good laugh. Granna says they have to be potty-trained, so that leaves out Blair, and Carter...Parker is almost there. Maybe next summer! But we try to arrange with our siblings a time when we can all get together, and a few weeks ago we headed to Granna & Poppa's. It was a fun weekend with the "fam"...except, Carter was just so excited about his first trip to Granna & Poppa's that he didn't want to sleep at night :-)
The weekend started with Bailey & Brady's birthday party. They had a roller skating party and I anticipated how well Avery was going to handle herself on roller skates, considering she's been talking about it forever. She did a great job. Here's her and Presley cruisin' around.

And here's Parker with Uncle Mike.

Brady and Parker, being boys...

And fun in the sun at Aunt Mandy's pool!!!

I'm so thankful that our kids have cousins. My mother is an only child, and my cousins on my dad's side of the family were older than us (and we didn't see them very often since they lived in Georgia). This "cousin craze" that we have when we all get together is lots of fun.
