Trick-or-Treat!

This past Saturday was Halloween and after getting to spend my day at Merry Marketplace, Shane and I got the kids dressed up and ready to go trick-or-treat...a very much anticipated event by all, especially Avery, a.k.a. Tinkerbell.

We first attempted our own neighborhood and knocked on the doors back in our cove. Much to our disappointment no one was home. But the kids didn't know any better...they were too busy running around all excited about trick-or-treating although they really didn't know what they were doing.
So then we met up with all of our friends and went to Angie's church for the "trunk-or-treat". It was fun, and easy. Avery was very happy about all the candy she was getting. Parker was more concerned with immediately eating all of the candy he was getting.

And then we ended the evening at the Foreman's celebrating Jeff's bday and taking the kids for a few more door to door trick-or-treating. While we were walking around Avery took a nose dive and hit the pavement like she was sliding into home plate. As I went to console her and make sure she was ok she noticed that the other kids had made their way to another front door. Before I knew it she was out of my arms and with eyes full of tears saying "trick-or-treat". She wasn't going to miss out!

And here's the best I could get for a group picture, but we had Peter Pan & Tinkerbell, Alice in Wonderland and an adorable buzzing bee, 3 sweet kittie kats, and 2 macho Batman & Robin. It was a fun night and looking forward to lots more.
